This isn’t a review as such. I happened to be listening to some music and thought i’d listen to some of the Conchords’ music again and had forgotten how amazing it is!
Flight of the Conchords is a HBO produced comedy surrounding two aspiring musicians from New Zealand trying to make it in New York. It’s a very funny show in its own way but there every episode has a song in it produced and performed by the Conchords themselves. The music from both series’ have been released as studio albums. The First album is the self titled Flight of the Conchords. This is all of the songs featured in the first season of the show. The Second album, featuring the songs featured in the second season of the show is called I Told You I Was Freaky.
Both albums are brilliant on two fronts. The music and production are both very good but the songs are funny too. It does help if you know the series’ but it’s not crucial.
I would recommend listening to the albums on a Monday! Something to get you through the day at work! My mode of listening is using GrooveShark. Try it, it’s awesome!
