The Manchester Derby
This is another crucial footballing week so here are some more predictions! I’m not doing formula 1 this week as it’s near impossible to predict!

A little explanation. Birmingham’s Season is petering out a little but I think they’ll beat Hull. Hull should be fighting but I think their bubble may have burst. Two in-form teams in Blackburn and Everton. Everton playing well and pushing for Europe and Blackburn have steadily improved all season with their home form being their lynchpin – draw all the way. Fulham only care about the Europa Cup and Wolves are pretty much safe so no-one really cares about this one. I think Fulham will shade it. Stoke are good and Bolton are a side trying to play nicely without the players to do so yet. I think Stoke will be too much for them. Sunderland and Darren Bent will beat Burnley. I expect a good fight though. I have to apologise for massively sitting on the fence – I think the United and Chelsea games are too hard to call, draws all round.
Sundays games will be intriguing. Pompey are playing with no pressure and players eager to be in the side for the final whilst Villa seem to be a tired old goat right now, whimpering at the fact they’ve got to climb a little bit further. I think it’ll be a draw. The Arsenal game will be affected by events on Saturday. If United and Chelsea lose Arsenal are right back in it again, same applies if they both draw but if Chelsea or both win then it could be a flat affair. Wigan are very indifferent and have played well against decent sides so who knows which Wigan will turn up. I think it’ll be close but i’ll go for an Arsenal win.
For Mondays game I can’t see anything other than a Liverpool win.
Now for the postmortem. The Fulham – Wolves and Birmingham – Hull games seem to have had the typical end of season syndrome. Wolves want to make 100% sure of safety but they know they’re there whilst Hull are fighting for their lives and to be fair they got a good point. Bitmingham’s season has petered out somewhat but it’s been a good one none the less. The Blackburn – Everton game was a testament to the Premier League and to two of the form teams of the league. Everton are closing on a European place now and they deserve it if they get there. I was wrong on the score again but good game anyway. City got done in injury time again against United. Something they’ve had to swallow 3 times this season! Bolton got a great result against Stoke. I think we can all see why Coyle left Burnley now cant we? I think Bolton will push on next season and be a secure mid table side. The less we talk about Chelsea the better! Villa got a good result at Pompey and Wigan stunned Arsenal! Liverpool won in a routine win last night. All in all it was a pretty awful prediction weekend for me! Good job I didn’t put an accumulator on!
