End of Season

Chelsea Lifting the Trophy
I’ve been pretty quiet towards the end of the season for a couple of reasons. But now the Premier League is done I can breathe easy again! I thought I’d have a little say on my thoughts on us winning the title.
I am a very humble Chelsea fan. I often find myself feeling like I need to apologise for being a Chelsea fan. Roman came in and everyones’ opinion of Chelsea changed over night. José helped to make the general public hate Chelsea even more too. I’ve been a fan since the early 90′s, when I started getting an initerest in football. A quick bit of Googling will tell you how good they were then!
Well this is my chance to almost gloat. As a rule I will never give anyone any stick or rub it in to any other fans. I have a theory of what goes around, comes around (or vice versa). Any fan deserves the right to celebrate and I genuinely feel we deserve it. I’ve listened to a lot of the radio in the last 24 hours and read a lot on the internet and there are a hell of a lot of bitter United fans. They seem to be clutching at good fortune in favour of Chelsea. I suppose it was Chelsea’s good fortune that made Fulham beat United 3-0 or that same good fortune that saw 13 own goals go in for United.
The purpose of this post is not at all to have a go at United fans but the table doesn’t lie at the end of the season. The United team and management have been very graceful in defeat and are no doubt working away to fix the issues of this season. The United fans don’t seem to be as graceful as far as i’m aware. This is not all, it’s probably a minority but you have to remember that United sometimes don’t win! United will win the league again and again, i’ve got no doubt about that. I think you need to sit back and let someone else have the title, let us Chelsea fans have our moment again.
I won’t go too much into the new season but we all know that United will bounce back stronger, Liverpool cannot have another season like this, Spurs will strengthen, Arsenal will (should) strengthen and god knows who City will sign this summer. For now i’m just going to enjoy being champions again. Seasons come and go fast so you need to cherish these things!

A couple of the bitter posts i’ve read:
“I just wanted to congratulate Chelsea on their title win. A great achievement, but an achievemant marred slightly….
The way in which Wigan, Stoke and Aston Villa capitulated at Stamford Bridge (not to mention Stevie G’s magnificent through ball for Drog) must surely take the shine off? For everyone crowing about them sealing the title in style is it too much to expect for teams to actually make a f**kin effort?? Wigan knew they could have a say in the title race and also move themselves up the table but instead of putting up a fight they decide not ot defend and not to pressure Chelsea and not to try. Absolutely pathetic. In supposedly the most competitive EPL for years the deciding game finished 8-0. 8 F**kin nil!!
As for Drogba – what a royal pr*ck he really is. Refusing to celebrate his team-mates goals then calling every player to him when he scored? Absolute idiot. His sulking and arrogance and childishness is still shocking despite how many years we’ve had to get used to it.
A real shame about those three home wins gifted to Chelsea. They really have taken the gloss of an otherwise fantastic season for them. United for the title next year (hopefully!!).”
“…Yes I know they scored eight but without trying to sound like a churlish United fan, Chelsea were handed the title by terrible reffing throughout the season. In the two games with United both games were decided by the officials, I don’t care if Chelsea played better at OT the fact is they received favourable decisions in both games, even if one correct decision is given United are Champions.
The dirge of ‘Chelsea beat the top four home and away so they deserve to win’ doesn’t mean a thing when in other games they should have lost or drawn they were handed three points by incompetent officials.
Summing up Chelsea may be deserved Champions in the eyes of the Southern Press but in reality they are hollow champions put there by terrible refereeing.”
